First visit
Duration & Preparation
Your first visit is approximately 40–50 minutes. If you have previous medical imaging or reports (on paper, screenshots, or on a memory stick), please bring them. Wear comfortable clothes if possible, but office clothes work fine—just avoid coming straight from training in sweaty workout clothes.
What Happens During Your First Visit
1. History & Consultation
I'll take a thorough history of your main complaint—where it hurts, when it started, and general health questions about your lifestyle. This helps me understand what's been happening with you.
2. Physical Examination
Based on your history, I'll perform various physical exam tests to understand what is causing your symptoms and how your body functions. I also use orthopedic and neurological clinical tests when needed to get a clear picture.
3. Findings, Plan & Treatment
I'll explain why you are experiencing symptoms, create a personalized treatment plan for you, and guide you on home exercises and lifestyle advice. Importantly—unlike many clinics elsewhere in the world—your first visit also includes treatment. I begin manual therapy and adjustments based on your condition and treatment plan.
First Visit (40–50 minutes): €120
Comprehensive assessment, thorough history, physical examination, personalised plan creation and initial treatment,
Follow-up Visits (15-20 minutes): €75
Shorter, focused treatment based on your established plan. I may adjust techniques based on your progress.
FAQ
About pain & comfort
-
Most people don't experience pain during treatment—many actually find it relaxing. Some feel mild discomfort depending on how severe their condition is. About half of patients notice mild soreness afterward, similar to how you feel after a new workout. It's normal and usually fades within 24 hours. I'm careful not to cause unnecessary pain—your comfort matters.
-
I screen for red flags before treatment. If I find anything concerning (fracture, serious pathology, nerve damage, vascular risk), I must act in your best interest. If potential risks outweigh the benefits, I will not proceed with treatment to protect you from harm. This is rare, but when it happens, I recommend where you should go (GP, ER, or a specialized doctor).
-
Absolutely. I use many different techniques beyond adjustments. If you prefer to avoid the "crack" sound or high-velocity adjustments, I can work with mobilization, soft tissue therapy, and exercises instead. Some people actually respond better to these approaches. Just tell me during your first visit what you're comfortable with—we'll tailor treatment to suit you.
-
No. However, soft tissue techniques are often used as part of my comprehensive treatment to address muscle and tendon issues in addition to adjustments. If I think you would benefit from additional massage services outside the clinic, I will recommend it. Discuss this during your visit if it's a concern.
Practical matters
-
No. Treatment is private and payment is required at the clinic. You pay the full fee (€120 first visit, €75 follow-ups) during your appointment. If you have private health insurance that covers chiropractic, you can submit the invoice I provide to your insurance for reimbursement. However, you must pay upfront—I do not bill insurance directly.
-
No. Chiropractic services are 100% private and not covered by Haigekassa (Estonian Health Insurance Fund). You pay out-of-pocket for all treatments. Some private health insurance plans may offer coverage; check with your provider.
-
Look at our CONDITIONS page first—it'll help you see if I can help with your specific problem. If during treatment I realize your issue is outside what I can handle or we're not making progress, I'll refer you to the right specialist. I won't keep treating you just to keep the fee coming in. Your health is the priority, not my appointment book.
Treatment & Progress
-
Most people improve within 4–5 treatments, but every situation is different. A simple acute problem might be gone in 1–2 visits. A stubborn chronic issue might take longer—weeks or months—depending on how long you've had it and how committed you are to doing your home exercises. During your first visit, I'll give you an honest estimate based on what I find, so you know what to expect.
-
Real progress doesn't always feel obvious week-to-week, which is why I track specific things: your pain level, how far you can move, whether you can do activities you couldn't before, and how often symptoms bother you. I check in regularly to see where you stand. If we're not moving forward, I'll change the plan or suggest you see a specialist. It's your recovery—tell me if something doesn't feel right.
-
Yes, absolutely. Chiropractic works well alongside physiotherapy, personal training, yoga, or medical treatment. Let me know about any other providers you're seeing so I can coordinate care and avoid conflicts. Integrated care often produces the best results.
Before You Book
-
Yes, children older than 5 years of age. Techniques are modified based on age and size. Children often respond quickly to chiropractic care. Common reasons parents bring children: posture issues, sports injuries, growing pains, or general wellness. Children require parental presence and consent. If you have children with musculoskeletal concerns, ask me about appropriate care during your consultation.
-
Yes. Older adults benefit significantly from chiropractic care. Adjustments are modified for age-related factors like reduced bone density or arthritis. I screen carefully and adjust techniques accordingly. Never too old to benefit.
-
Yes. I'm certified by EKL (Estonian Chiropractic Association), ECU (European Chiropractors Union), and WFC (World Federation of Chiropractic)—professional organizations with strict standards. Since chiropractic isn't regulated by Estonian law, it's important you verify your chiropractor's credentials. Mine are real and independent. You can read more about my background on my page.
